Been sitting in its original box for years now. I payed a lot for it, then tossed it into a laughable Gateway with an Athlon. I remember when I got it, it wouldn't work. The rest broke off their respective boards.as they normally do. Out of all my 'junk' laptops, that's the only one with a functional AC adapter port. I hate what it made me go through, but haven't parted with it/destroyed it yet. I know it's probably better optimized for it, but I see no use in that thing. That thing has been sitting on a shelf for years- amongst a pile of other old laptops. No air flow whatsoever, but it played Crysis (sort of). I ordered a 7800GS (a decent card at the time) and threw in a huge PSU with a billion cables. Beat HL2 and moved on to a thrown-together Gateway computer. Still, I never installed Vista afterwards. Even then, It took some real sleuthing to find a good driver. There were websites/forums aplenty back then, regarding that particular adapter. I even tried to slipstream a driver into the install. #lowendgaming OR browser-based access įrom what I can recall, my chip didn't pass Vista's 'check' during install.
